MTV Unplugged is the show of singers and groups where they can show their talents not hiding behind electronic voice correctors and other digital instruments. Here is my own list of best MTV Unplugged singers so far not in an exact order.

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey UnpluggedAmazing performance by Mariah Carey. Every song singing in this video was just of such perfection. This program features Mariah with a 27 piece band plus a bonus a cappella version of “Can’t Let Go”. Also features “Emotions” “If It’s Over” “Someday” “Make It Happen” five others and a special exclusive interview with Mariah.

Nirvana – Unplugged in New York

Nirvana Unplugged There “Unplugged” taping showed that they were not only a band that could play loud and with conviction but could express there point of view in a softer, acoustic form. This performance truly shows the range of a band that was the poster childs for the “grunge” movement but expressed them in a way that shows how this band was much more than just a grunge band. With Kurt Cobain’s telling lyrics and the conhesiveness of it’s members Nirvana will go down in history as one of the great bands. This is the best unsplugged performance of a rock band ever

Bob Dylan – MTV Unplugged (1994)

Bob Dylan Superb PerformanceThe MTV Unplugged is a showcase of some of his best work. Some of my Favorite selections are John Brown, Dignity, All Along The Watchtower, and Like A Rolling Stone. I truly believe that Bob Dylan influenced modern music more than any other person or group. This performance is essential for any music lover. Get this DVD right now even if you are a casual Bob Dylan listener
